Kirsten Moon

Background

I grew up in Lincoln and studied law in Nottingham and Guildford. When I qualified as a solicitor in 1986, I moved to London to do general litigation work. I spent 16 years in a City practice acting for a wide variety of businesses and employees mainly in relation to employment law both general advice and acting in tribunal and court disputes.

Move to Kent

After 12 years of commuting I joined my husband’s practice in May 2004 and have continued to do employment law. Now most of my clients are in Kent though there is still a wide variety of employment work. One advantage is that I have more chance to get to know clients well.

Who I help

My work covers all aspects of employment law. With employers this can include advice even before they advertise a job right up to dealing with dismissals and claims by departing employees. However much of my work involves being on hand when an employer has queries. Getting something sorted sooner rather than later helps employers to keep their workforce motivated and supported.

For employees help in understanding their rights and duties is often important. Completing settlement agreements as well as Employment Tribunal claims also forms a part of my work.

Whatever a client’s position, or the issues I aim to build good long-term relationships.

Kevin and I are married with 3 sons. If you are interested here is a little more about what I do outside work.
