Costs Information– fixed fees and hourly rate.
Costs; April 2018
We will talk to you briefly on the phone to establish whether we can help you. There is no charge for that. If we meet you then unless otherwise agreed the first 20 minutes of that first meeting will be free too. After that our fees depend on the type of work we do for you but we normally charge £200 per hour and there is no VAT.
Fixed Fee Services
For straightforward wills or lasting powers of attorney we can confirm a fixed fee during the initial telephone call. Where will trusts are involved we will give a fixed range of costs which we can clarify at our first meeting. For some other types of work we may be able to confirm a fixed cost at the initial meeting.
Employment Tribunal Costs -Unfair dismissal and wrongful dismissal claims.
We can act for employers or employees in cases of unfair dismissal or wrongful dismissal in an Employment Tribunal.
Our pricing for bringing and defending claims for unfair or wrongful dismissal depends on how complex the case is. These fees do relate to discrimination claims
Our hourly rate is £200 per hour and there is no VAT payable. Follow this link for information about Employment Claim Costs and examples of the range our fees are likely to fall in.
Probate relates to dealing with the estate of someone who has died. Follow this link for Probate Costs information to help you understand how we charge for our work in this area.
The information relates to estates entirely in the UK and where there are no disputes.
If there is a reason we want to charge more or less than our normal rate we will talk to you about this before we charge you anything. This will usually happen when we first talk to you about what you need. The total cost of a job depends on the work involved but our rates are very competitive. After our initial meeting we will provide costs information and an estimate and then keep you up to date as the matter progresses. We can bill you regularly or when fees reach pre-set levels to help with budgeting.
If you need more costs information or have any questions about fees let us know.
